Our words are what make us immortal. They live on while our bodies die, passed on throughout the ages. Saved forever for the world to hear and read. Our voices gone, no longer heard, but our words live on forever. ~Pammymcb~

Remember Me
When times are rough
and life seems bleak,
you want to cry
and scared to speak,
just close your eyes,
remember me.
You can’t go on
and cannot sleep,
you feel so sick,
memories creep,
just look inside
who do you see?
You want to leave
this fright’ning place,
and know you’ll lose
this life long race,
just take a breath
and know you’re free.
So, don’t forget,
you're not alone,
you just have not
found your home,
and close your eyes,
remember me.
and life seems bleak,
you want to cry
and scared to speak,
just close your eyes,
remember me.
You can’t go on
and cannot sleep,
you feel so sick,
memories creep,
just look inside
who do you see?
You want to leave
this fright’ning place,
and know you’ll lose
this life long race,
just take a breath
and know you’re free.
So, don’t forget,
you're not alone,
you just have not
found your home,
and close your eyes,
remember me.

As the Sun Sets
for Damien
In the morning dew,
I can smell the fresh clear scent of the air
I can hear the birds sing a happy song
I can touch the morning glories as the open
I can see the sun break through the trees.
Under the noon sun,
I can smell hot dogs cooking on the grill
I can hear the noon train pass through town
I can touch the caterpillar resting on a leaf
I can see the clouds dance like bears around the sun.
As the sun sets,
I can smell the dew settling on the grass
I can hear the story that is read to me
I can touch the bear that cuddles in my bed
I can see the stars come out to play
Little Baby
written for my sons
Little baby time for bed,
Lay down your sweet head.
Now, here's your bear, hold him tight
Close your eyes and sleep all night
Here's your blanket to keep you warm,
While you sleep, you're free from harm.
Dreams of love will comfort you,
Soon, you'll awake to the morning dew.
Little baby time for bed,
Lay down your sweet head.
Now, here's your bear, hold him tight
Close your eyes and sleep all night
Here's your blanket to keep you warm,
While you sleep, you're free from harm.
Dreams of love will comfort you,
Soon, you'll awake to the morning dew.
