Hello mother, hello father.
Greetings from the camp by the water.
Freddy's creeping in my dreams.
I cannot sleep from all the screams.
Jason snuck in to my cabin.
He took my friend's head then.
So I ran for my life.
To the kitchen I took a knife.
And I hid under a bed.
I stabbed Jason, thought he was dead.
So I ran down by the lake.
What I saw there made me shake.
Crystal Lake was full of blood.
Body parts were strung in the mud.
Jason snuck up right beside me.
Freddy jumped from behind a tree.
They fought with each other.
"Please come save me, my dear mother."
That is all I can remember.
Doctors tell me it is now December.
Now I sit here in my room.
The pads are protection from doom.
The cup is now very full.
The nurses use it for my drool.

Our words are what make us immortal. They live on while our bodies die, passed on throughout the ages. Saved forever for the world to hear and read. Our voices gone, no longer heard, but our words live on forever. ~Pammymcb~

A Window Opens
A window opens
To a child
A chance she did not take
The window slams
Sealed so tight
Leaving a heart to break
A young scared girl
She once was
Hiding in her mind
Imagining how things
Could have been
Scared of what she could find
A long cold night
And she stayed warm
Alone in her bed
No one there
To hold her tight
Who knows the life she's led
No longer a child
She has grown
To a woman filled with fear
'Til she meets
Her gallant knight
His love she holds dear
A sleepless night
And she must stand
To see another day
A helpless child
She once was
Long ago and far away
A saddening dream
And she must wake
So other's can see
A hard lived life
That she once led
But now she is free
To a child
A chance she did not take
The window slams
Sealed so tight
Leaving a heart to break
A young scared girl
She once was
Hiding in her mind
Imagining how things
Could have been
Scared of what she could find
A long cold night
And she stayed warm
Alone in her bed
No one there
To hold her tight
Who knows the life she's led
No longer a child
She has grown
To a woman filled with fear
'Til she meets
Her gallant knight
His love she holds dear
A sleepless night
And she must stand
To see another day
A helpless child
She once was
Long ago and far away
A saddening dream
And she must wake
So other's can see
A hard lived life
That she once led
But now she is free
